A Wayne County man whose vehicle was found in a swollen creek died yesterday.
Last week a Kanawha County man died when he passed a fire department barricade.
Sheriff Allen Parsons said a few Calhoun residents repeated the same situation yesterday at Arnoldsburg.
Some of the vehicles had to be towed in from the water by emergency personnel.
Officials say the Wayne County man's body was found inside the vehicle in Mill Creek south of Fort Gay and that high water was likely a factor.
Residents around the state were forced from their homes after a slow-moving storm dumped up to 4 inches of rain.
Governor Wise has extended a state of emergency to 12 additional counties.
Flood waters have left the banks of several more rivers tonight, including the Elk River in Kanawha County and the Little Kanawha River in Gilmer and Calhoun County.
Hundreds of Kanawha County residents were evacuating and moving to high ground yesterday.
Kanawha officials say at least ten houses in one West Charleston neighborhood are under water. Clendennin is also experiencing high water.
Flooding is also reported at Troy and Sand Fork.
