| The Calhoun County Board of Education met at the Office of the Superintendent; Mt. Zion, West Virginia; Monday,
November 17, 2003. Members present, Ralph Cunningham, Richard Fitzwater, Carlene Frederick, Donald Harris and
Burl Simers, also Ronald Blankenship, Secretary.
Mr. Cunningham reported on the October 28, 2003 CGCC meeting and Mr. Cartwright reported on the October 30,
2003 RESA V meeting.
OLD BUSINESS:
Mr. Cunningham moved and Mrs. Frederick seconded that the following policies be approved as presented:
Policy to Promote School Board Effectiveness;
Promotion/Retention Policy.
Motion carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
Mr. Cunningham moved and Mr. Harris seconded that the following new business be approved as presented:

Mr. Cunningham moved and Mr. Harris seconded that the Board enter into Executive Session at 7:14 p.m. for discussion
of personnel. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Cunningham moved and Mr. Harris seconded that the Board return to regular session at 7:32 p.m. Motion carried
unanimously.
Upon the Superintendent's recommendation, Mr. Cunningham moved and Mr. Simers seconded that the following matters

Motion carried with Mr. Simers abstaining on the Bowles Rice invoice.
