"Sunday we recognized some of the community folks who made the Molasses
Festival a big success," said Juanita Berdine. The 36th annual Recognition Day
was held at Arnoldsburg.
"Recognition day is to say thank you to those persons who work to
maintain and improve
our local community," said Berdine, one of the West Fork Community Action
volunteers.
Recipients receiving plaques this year, for
outstanding service to the festival included Richard McCartney, Houchin
Construction and Houchin Rental and Jennifer Hall.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to several people who made
the 2003 Molasses
Festival a great success, including Hazel Lane, Loren Price, Sherry Price, Carolyn
Lane, Connie McCartney,
Donna Selmon, Jennifer Hall, Glenna Fleming, Ollidene Hall, Shirley Mace,
Shannon Welch, Millie
Arnold, Della Starcher, Norma Collins, Patty Haught, Margie Evans, Dave
