The school newspaper is making a comeback at Calhoun Middle/High School,
thanks to Lights On! and Gaylen Duskey.
The publication will take on the original masthead of "The Clarion," and will be
published once a month, said Duskey.
"The Clarion" was published bi-weekly and later monthly, covering at least four
decades, the 40s through the 70s. An earlier publication was known as the
"Calhoun Hi-Life."
Duskey, a former newspaper columnist and editor, will get the project
underway next Monday, November 17 at 4 p.m..
"We need some students who are interested in writing, reporting and journalism in
general to help with the publication," said Duskey.
During the next few days a sign-up sheet will be in the office for all high school and
middle school students
interested in being part of the rebirth of The Clarion. |
