The Calhoun FRN will sponsor a "Family Centered Practice" Training on Monday, November 10th, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the
Grantsville Fire Department.
The training is a hands-on session for agency staff, service providers, and family members, which
examines the nine key elements of a family-centered practice.
Both research and practice has shown that families have better
success when the systems that serve them provide services in a family-centered manner. Training instructor will be Angie Linger,
Community Development Specialist for Substance Abuse Prevention.
There is a registration free of $10.00 for professionals, with scholarships available for family and community members. Space is
limited to 30 people. A light breakfast, lunch and materials are included. Social Work CEUs are available. To register, call Sandy
Osborne at 354-7177 or Angie Linger at 462-8265.
