Calhoun resident Dwayne Weekley is the director of a new, independent ambulance
service, formerly operated by St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg. St. Joseph sold
their ambulance service to Weekley's group after operating it for about thirty
years.
The new service, which has about 35 employees and six ambulances, will be
known as St. Joseph's Ambulance Services, without the 'hospital' name
included.
Weekley and local elected officials said the transition to the private company was
a winning situation for the community.
He said the community should notice no change in the quality of the service.
