Dustin N. McCormick, 22, of Grantsville, West Virginia, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born August 21, 1981 in Charleston, WV, the son of Douglas McCormick of Grantsville, and Cheryll Schnider of Ravenna, Ohio.
He attended Calhoun County Schools and graduated from Lewis County High School and Buckhannon Welding School. He was a certified welder. He had worked at Foodland in Grantsville and was most recently working at Foodland in Glenville, WV, in the meat department. He loved his job and all the employees.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are three sisters, Crystal Varborough of Salisbury, NC, Kera McCormick of Ravenna, Ohio, and Larissa McCormick of Shepherdstown, WV; grandparents, Jim and Evelyn McCormick of Grantsville, with whom he made his home, Bill and Arlene Smith of Florida; Mr. and Mrs. Vince Pavlik of Deerfield, Ohio and step-grandmother, Nancy Powlowski of Atwater, Ohio. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, Sunday, November 2, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev. Carroll McCauley will officiate. Interment will be in Yoak Cemetery, Norman Ridge, Big Bend, WV. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from noon until the hour of service. |
