The Calhoun County Board of Education conducted expulsion hearings for three
students in a closed session Thursday evening, all related to problems with illegal
drugs.
Upon the Superintendent's recommendation, Mr. Cunningham moved and Mrs.
Frederick seconded that all three students be expelled through the end of the first
semester and be required to take monthly mandatory drug testing at the parents'
expense on a monthly basis, or be expelled for the remainder of the current school
year.
The board voted unanimously to follow the plan.
