| Walter Harold Newell, 76, of Vienna, West Virginia, passed away October 24th at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg following a sudden illness.
Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Gerald and Maude Schartiger Newell. He was a retired supervisor for Monarch-Teledyne Rubber Company and attended the North Parkersburg Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Donna Kirk of Mansfield, Ohio; 3 step-daughters, Patsy Gayheart and her husband, Fred of Massilon, Ohio, Frances Bolyard and her husband, Ronald of Dexter City, Ohio, Glenna Hovatter and her husband, Gerald of Thornton, WV; 4 brothers, Gerald Newell, Jr. and Harry Newell both of Orma, WV, Donald Newell of Marlboro, Ohio and Leon Newell of Mogadore, Ohio; 2 sisters, Emogene Robinson of Tanner, WV and Ellodene Gherke of Pennsylvania; several grandchildren including, Devon Kirk and several great grandchildren; a special long time friend and companion, Eloise Sinnett of Vienna.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Newell; 2 step-sons, Dallas and Charles Boyd and a grandson, Randy Bolyard.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 29 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV. Evangelist Corley Miller will officiate. Interment will be in the Orma United Methodist Church Cemetery at Orma. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services. |
