| Clyde Metz, 81, of Thornton, West Virginia, formerly of Sand Ridge, died October 18th in Grafton City Hospital, Grafton, WV.
Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Wesley and Pricey Metz. He was a former employee of Larson Consolidated Corporation of Grafton, Ohio.
Surviving are two sons, Eugene Metz of Thornton, and Russell Metz of Illinois; two daughters, Carolyn Rush of Stumptown and Barbara Beach of Grantsville; two sisters, Mable Campbell and Betty Sidwell of Parkersburg; one half brother, Raymond Metz of Big Bend; one half sister, Bessie Basnett of Grantsville; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Metz in 1974; 1 son and 1 daughter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 22 at 11 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Lawson Whipkey will officiate. Interment will be in the Metz Cemetery at Sand Ridge. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. |
