WorkForce West Virginia held an open house Thursday in Grantsville to make the
community aware of services offered by the agency.
Agency employees and Workforce Investment Board partners welcomed local
citizens to the open house.
The Grantsville office provides assistance in job searching techniques, resume
writing, interviewing skills, job placement and employer services.
The agency has undergone a name change from Work4WV to Workforce West
Virginia.
The Main Street office provides staff and computerized services to Calhoun
residents in need of employment. The local phone number is 354-7920.
The agency is sponsoring a Career Fair at the Holiday Inn, Route 50 in Parkersburg
from 1-6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29.
"Since potential employers will be present, it is recommended that you bring
several copies of your resume," they said.
