Lots of regional folks are connected to Parkersburg for shopping and
entertainment.
WTAP-TV, Parkersburg's UHF station, has had spotty and weak coverage in
Calhoun with their over-the-air signal for several years.
That may soon change.
A new transmitter will be tested in Pittsburgh this week and could soon be brought
down to WTAP's transmitter site for installation
The new transmitter, tower and digital high definition signal will provide a much
better signal for thousands in the Mid-Ohio Valley, and is expected to improve
coverage to Calhoun.
The improvements are to be completed in October.
