James R. Osborne, 64, of Vienna, West Virginia, died September 28th at his home.
Born in Calhoun County, WV, he was a son of Mrs. Nila Osborne of Five Forks and the late
Carl Osborne. He was a former resident of Sistersville, WV for thirty years, and was
employed at First Federal Savings and Loan.
He was a retired Vice President of Traders Savings and Loan in Parkersburg, WV. He was a
3rd Degree Mason and a member of of Phoenix Lodge # 73, AF&AM of Sistersville and
Nemesis Shrine Temple of Parkersburg. He was a US Army veteran.
Surviving in addition to his mother are three sisters, Judith Gregory of Bristol, Tennessee,
Doris Campbell of Scot Depot, WV and Barbara Campbell of Big Springs, WV; one brother,
Carl R. Osborne of Five Forks; 4 nephews; 1 niece and 1 great niece.
He was preceded in death by his wife, R. Fern Osborne and his father, Carl Osborne.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 3 at 11 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home,
Grantsville. Rev. Alfred Hickman will officiate. Interment will be in the Canaan Community
Church Cemetery at Rock Cave, WV with Masonic Graveside Rites.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
