Patricia VanCamp, 63, died on Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Funeral services were Monday, September 29, 2003 at the Johnson-Green Funeral Home in Thief
River Falls, MN with Reverend Gary Barrett officiating.
Patricia "Pat" Ann Harlin was born on September 10, 1940 in Cass Lake, MN, the daughter of Harold Raymond "Ray"
and Hilma Lillian "Lil" (Erickson) Harlin. She grew up in Cass Lake and moved with her family to Bagley, MN when she
attended high school, graduating in 1958. Following High School she worked for Bell Telephone in Madison, WI.
Pat was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" VanCamp on August 17, 1960 in Ecorse, Michigan. The couple lived in
Duluth, MN for one year, before moving to Thief River Falls in the spring of 1961. They bought a farmstead in 1968 north
of Thief River Falls.
Pat worked as a nurses aid and ward clerk at Northwest Medical Center beginning in 1961 until her retirement in
September of 2000.
She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, and feeding the deer and birds. Pat loved nature and spending
time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was a member and was active in the International Woodworkers Union.
Pat is survived by her husband Dick; four children: Norma (Jeff) Wagoner of Big Springs, WV; Rick (Mendi) VanCamp
of Fargo, ND, Trish (Kory) Albert of Bismarck, ND and John (Pam) VanCamp of Fargo, ND; ten grandchildren: Jake
and Athena Wagoner, Seth and Adam VanCamp; Caitlyn, Corey, Carissa, Cylee and Cailey Albert and Jonah VanCamp;
one brother, Dick (Carol) Harlin of Grand Forks, ND; one sister, Pam (Tom) Polchow of Duluth, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Don.
