Calhoun has a new Emergency Medical Services director. Grantsville resident Josh
Johnson, was selected by the EMS Board last week to replace Randy Burgess, who
recently resigned.
Johnson, who is a paramedic, was on the job yesterday at the Mt. Zion
headquarters. He has been involved with emergency services since 1996.
"It is always a challenge to provide 24-hour service to Calhoun from both of our
stations," he said. "We hope to continue our history of responding quickly and
professionally," he said.
Johnson said he is looking at improvements that need to be made within the
system.
"Calhoun has crooked roads and rough terrain, and getting there quickly and safely
is a challenge. We are continuing to look at our training and equipment needs,"
concluded Johnson.
