| Opal Barr Gragg, 85, of Parkersburg died Sept. 20, 2003, at her residence.
She was born March 27, 1918, in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Martha Mae Barr. She was Baptist by faith and worked as a live-in nanny and housekeeper for many years. Other accomplishments include her employment with Kesterson's Laundry Service and the O'Ames Company.
Survivors include three nieces, Delores Kelly of Washington, Shirley Motter of Canton, Ohio, and Linda Earlywine of South Carolina; her caregiver, Tracy Kelly of Parkersburg; and several great, great-great and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brown M. Gragg; four brothers, Oral, Howard, Donald and Paul Barr; and a sister, Glades Owens.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, followed by a committal service at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
