A six-inch water line broke at the corner of Court and Main in Grantsville today,
sending water across the streets and disrupting traffic.
Dave Johnson, supervisor of the Grantsville Water Department, issued a boil water
advisory for the Grantsville, Mt. Zion and Pleasant Hill systems.
Within fifteen minutes parts of the street started caving as water surged from a
number of openings.
Johnson said the break appeared to be near the front of the NAPA store, as he and
water department employees turned off the main line.
Crews began working on repairing the break by 2 p.m.
The boil water advisory is in effect for 72 hours,Tuesday evening.
