| Vollie G. Cottrell, 84, of Washington, West Virginia, died March 24 in
St. Joseph's
Hospital. He was born in 1917 at Big Otter, son of the late Harvey and
Mary Jarvis
Cottrell. He was retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation in
1977 and was a
member of the Jefferson Baptist Temple. Surviving, son, Larry Cottrell of Orma; daughters, Barbara Travis of Washington and Geneva Lucas of Kingman, Arizona; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Also surviving, sister, Artie Mayes of Charleston; brother Jesse Cottrell of Ontario, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Delbert, Doy and Harvey Cottrell and sisters, Dorothy Deel, Gaye Brannon, Ida Kurtzman and Oma Cottrell. Services were conducted Monday afternoon in Parkersburg with burial in the Cottrell Cemetery at Oka.
