STATE POLICE ERADICATE 600 MARIJUANA PLANTS - Raid On Norman Ridge

The West Virginia State police have confirmed that Grantsville and Spencer Detachment officers participated in an eradication of a marijuana growing patch in the Norman Ridge area of Calhoun on September 3rd.

Public Affairs officer Sgt. Jay Powers said the State Police eradicated approximately 600 plants.

"The plants were spotted from the air and eradicated by members on the ground," said Powers. "At this time, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident."

The patch was reportedly located on the former Mead-Westvaco lands.
