Luella V. Maze, 82, formerly of Cedar Grove Community, died Sept. 8, 2003 at Worthington Manor Nursing Facility.
She was born in Brohard, a daughter of the late James B. and Esther Busch Snider.
Mrs. Maze was a member of the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, where she was active in the WSCS Ladies Christian Group. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Homemakers Association and a 50-year member of Parkersburg Order of Eastern Star Lodge 3. Mrs. Maze was a loving mother and grandmother and had a great love for cooking. She took great delight in feeding family and friends.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Harold Cheuvront of Golden, Colo., and Pamela and Jack Watts of Parkersburg; a brother, Robert Snider of Brohard; and five grandchildren, Jeremy Cheuvront of Denver, Colo., Aaron Cheuvront of Golden and Bret Watts, Lachelle Hendershot and Raquel Watts, all of Parkersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Maze in 1998; two sisters; and six brothers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church with Evangelist Wirt Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
