Loretta "Boots" Yoak, 54, of Big Bend, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, August 23,
2003.
She was born July 15, 1949 in Big Bend, a daughter of the late Paul R. and Opal Snyder
Smith. She was a homemaker and a caretaker of the elderly. She was an active member of
God's House of Worship in Elizabeth, WV.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Herbert Yoak; two daughters, Jennifer Yoak of
Big Bend and Crystal Yoak of Charleston, WV; one sister, Nancy Smith of Big Bend; one
brother, Gerald "Pug" Smith of Grantsville, WV; one grandson, Ryan Milliron and one
granddaughter, Jenna Milliron. Also surviving are four sisters-in-law, Garnett Chernesey and
June Cunningham, both of Wickliffe, Ohio, Betty McVaney of Clarksburg, WV and Beverly
Robinson of Jonesboro, GA; two brothers-in-law, Ralph Yoak of Denver, CO and Clifford
Yoak of Parkersburg, WV.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Eva Richards Yoak and father-in-law, John
Yoak.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV on Friday, August 29,
2003 at 11 a.m. Rev. Raymond Gumm will officiate. Interment will be in Yoak Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
