CHS student Cynthia Wildfire spoke to the board regarding the decision to cancel soccer at the school. Wildfire was one of several students affected by the decision. A student Barbara Shock, said "I feel really sad that soccer can't fit into the sports program."
The board advised the soccer group that it didn't seem like there was enough support for the program, that money was tight and bus transportation is expensive.
The Board entered into executive session at 7:03 p.m. for a Citizens Appeal hearing. Motion carried unanimously. David Carson requested that the Citizens Appeal hearing be postponed until the next regular board meeting.
The board approved Volunteer Agreements for Jeffrey Houchin and Richton Russell - Calhoun Middle/High School.
The board approved the Educational Records Policy, Child Nutrition Policy (Draft), Lights On Proposals and contracts for Lisa Groves and Patsy Kisner.
