Firemen examine damage caused by hot water heater

A fire started by a water heater in a mobile home off School Street in Grantsville was quickly extinguished. Flames had spread to a wood door and compartment around the heater.

The mobile home was occupied by Billy Yeager.

The Grantsville VFD and Calhoun EMS responded Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

The Arnoldsburg VFD responded to a single vehicle accident on Route 16 near the mouth of Crummies Creek at 10 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle ran into a guard rail, sustaining damage. There were no injuries.

Sheriff Allen Parsons investigated the accident.

Emergency services also responded to a rollover accident Saturday night on Route 16 near the mouth of Walker. The occupants refused medical treatment.
