Volunteers have commenced work on several projects at Wayne Underwood Field, from roofing the locker room building by D W and Sons Building Repair of
Five Forks (formerly Clark's Remodeling) to painting and repairing other buildings.
"The field is beginning to look pretty bright," said Tim Moore of Millstone.
The projects are being completed by the youth league football group.
The building housing the rest rooms has been upgraded and lots of painting has been done to buildings around the field.
The group has spent several thousand dollars they have raised on the project, from improving the scoreboard, to installing a PA system, along with repairs to the snack bar.
"There is still a lot more to do," said Moore.
A football game will be held on the field this Saturday. |
