Bluegrass performers were tuning up yesterday
Campers already arriving for festival weekend
The Sixth Annual Firemen's Bluegrass Festival kicked off yesterday at Upper West Fork
Park at Chloe. Campers began arriving early to get a spot and get ready for the
event.
The festival runs through Saturday night, with a climax by a giant fireworks display.
Dozens of regional bluegrass bands will be playing today and tomorrow. The admission is
only $3.
"Lots of great bluegrass and lots of good food," said Sonny Lowers, one of the
organizers.
The event is a fundraiser for the Upper West Fork VFD.
