The West Virginia Economic Development Authority has reacquired a major
economic development site at Mineralwells in Wood County.
The site was to have been the location of a Luigino's plant that would have
produced frozen food products, and would have brought a large number of jobs to
the area.
The agency repurchased the 38-acre site at Mineralwells for $1,320,000.
The deal was completed with Vets Realty of Jackson, Ohio, the real estate holding
company for a contractor that was going to build a $36 million plant on the site.
David Satterfield, executive director of the development office, called the
Mineralwells location "one of the best industrial sites in the state."
