The Calhoun Commission will meet Monday at 4 p.m.
The Commission will be officially seeking applicants to replace Prosecutor Tony
Morgan, who has resigned. The Commission must appoint a prosecutor for the
unexpired term, which ends in December, 2004. The appointment must be a
Democrat.
Reviewing all the alternatives for a new 911-EMS center is also on the agenda,
because the current 911-EMS building at Mount Zion is not up to standard.
The Commission will also discuss approving part-time raises for 911 dispatchers
using 911's budgeted money. The county employee handbook will also be up for
approval.
The Commission will make two appointments, one to the Library Board and one to
the Building Commission.
