Thelma Conley Cottrell, 90, of Morgantown, WV formerly of Chloe,
Calhoun County, died Friday
March 16th. at Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown.
Born in Calhoun County, she was a graduate of Glenville State College
and received her
Masters Degree at West Virginia University in Elementary Education.
She was a retired
elementary school teacher in Calhoun and Clay counties for over 30
years. She was a member
of the WVU Alumni Association and the Rebecca Lodge at Minnora, WV.
Surviving Mrs. Cottrell are a daughter-in-law, Berdeal Conley of
Morgantown, three
grandchildren, Laura Conley Rinehart of Charleston, WV, Linda Corrado
of Milford, Delaware
and Lisa Conley of Nitro, WV. Also surviving is a niece, Freda Ware of
Port Clinton, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Delmar Conley, her
second husband, Walter
Cottrell and a son, William F. Conley.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at stump Funeral Home,
Arnoldsburg, WV. Rev.
Carl Marks will officiate. Interment will be in the Clark Jarvis
Cemetery at Chloe. Friends may
call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to
the service.
