Lew Holloway of Sycamore is the new
Calhoun County, WVU extension agent. Holloway assumed his new duties
on June 16.
"We are looking forward to working with Calhoun people and helping them
with extension service programs," he said.
Holloway's major responsibilities will be to access the needs of Calhoun
citizens and provide family and youth programming. He will conduct
teaching and public service programs to help the public with extension
service and WVU resources.
He has been the executive director of the Wellness Council of West Virginia
since 1999.
From 1996-99 he was Outreach Director for Minnie Hamilton Health Care
Center. His other experience includes teaching school in Gilmer and
Calhoun counties. He has also worked in the building design and
construction industry.
Holloway has a bachelor's degree in industrial arts education from the
College of New jersey and a master's degree in community health
education from WVU.
He is a member of the Calhoun County Family Resource Network and
served on the board of the Kanawha Coalition for Community Health
Improvement.
