Booher car crashes and lands against hillside on Frank Tanner Hill

A Calhoun woman died from injuries received in a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on Route 16, just north of the Big Otter I-79 exit.

Authorities identified Amanda Dickey Booher, about 24, of Orma as the victim. She was reportedly a nurse at Charleston Area Medical Center.

The Booher vehicle was described as "tangled metal," by a member of the Big Otter VFD, who responded to the accident.

Booher was taken to a Gassaway hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver and passengers of the other vehicle, were taken to Charleston Area Medical Center by a Clay ambulance. The nature of their injuries were unknown.

The victim is the wife of Craig Booher of Orma. The Booher's reportedly have children and live in the Nicut area.

The Big Otter Fire Department responded to the scene with a rescue truck and other units.

Funeral arrangements will be completed at the Stump Funeral Home.
