Milford Earl Burrows, 39, of Walker departed this world on June 18, 2003, while at Duke University Hospital in Durham, N.C., after battling cancer for almost four years.
He was the grandson of the late Walter and Mary Burrows of Calhoun.
He was born March 2, 1964, in Parkersburg, a son of Donald and Betty James Burrows of Walker.
He graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1982. Most recently, he worked at the Bureau of Public Debt where he made many friends.
Before that, he owned and managed his own business, A+ Remodeling.
He also worked with his dad for many years at Burrows Construction.
Mr. Burrows was extremely skilled at hunting and fishing and loved both.He shared his love of the outdoors with his nieces, nephews and stepchildren.>P>
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Janice; three stepchildren, Ron Ruble Jr., Amber Ruble and Mike Ruble; his sisters, Theresa Post, Elizabeth Westbrook and Dorene Burrows.
He also is survived by his nieces and nephews, Amy Allman, Tracey Delancey, Joshua Westbrook, Jessica Post, and Matthew Post; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Austin Allman, Trenton Allman, Abigail Delancey, Victoria Delancey, Baby Delancey and Brendon Post.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Aubra and Rhoda James.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green Street, Parkersburg.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Grantsville. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
