Earl J. Taylor, 92, of Springfield, Missouri and Elkview, West Virginia went to be with
the Lord on June 12, 2003 at CAMC-General Hospital, Charleston.
He was born April 3, 1911 in Roane County a son of the late Ezra and
Nora Vineyard Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62
years, Hallie Mangus Taylor; brothers, Ralph, Howard and Emory Taylor;
sisters, Gertrude Moffatt, Gatha Hunt and June Zaayer.
Mr. Taylor was retired from the State of West Virginia.
Survivors include a son, William "Bill" Taylor of Springfield, MO;
daughters, Earline Cobb of Elkview, Paula Patton and Nora Garnett Taylor
both of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, Opie Taylor of Valdosta, GA and French
"Bill" Taylor of Walton; sisters, Georgia Elmore and Justine Paxton both
of Walton; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer from 6-8 p.m. on
Sunday, June 15.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, June
16 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John W. Lowe and the Rev. Daniel R. White
officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Moriah Cemetery, Ambler Ridge,
Walton. |
