A Calhoun woman has agreed to testify against her boyfriend in a murder case that had also placed her in jail.
Jamie Jarvis, 21, of Chloe pled guilty Wednesday to being an accessory after the fact to the murder of John Morehead and
Oral "Sam" Jett, according to the Times-Record/Roane County Reporter.
The accessory charge carries up to a year in jail, meaning the maximum Jarvis could face is two years behind bars.
"I believe Jamie is a very valuable witness," Roane Sheriff Cole told Judge David Nibert. "She is basically the only witness
we have that can lead to events both before and after the crimes."
Jarvis and her boyfriend, Roger Eric Jones, 30, were charged with murder, aggravated robbery, malicious wounding and
other crimes in the death of Jett. No arrests had been made in the second murder of Morehead, although police say Jones
has admitted to both murders.
Morehead's body was found in his burned mobile home on the Arnoldsburg Road in late December, while Jett's body was
found outside his car on an isolated road near Amma a week after Morehead's death.
