Behind America's Best Military Support Group have heard from some of our troop members and
families.
They are very appreciative of the packages sent to them from our area, but they are still in need of items from home
according to Phyllis Malona.
The BAB group is receiving cards and notes from the men and women serving overseas,
expressing their appreciation to the community and group for their support.
One made the comment of how much it meant to know the troops had our
love and support from home, that made him feel secure knowing that things
were OK back home.
Both family and troops are asking that we continue to send needed items, such as:
Avon Skin-So-Soft Products (lotion, oil and creams)
Moisturizing Lotions, any brand
Bug spray
(pump sprays only, aerosol cans cannot be mailed)
flea collars (sand fleas are awful)
Kool-Aid
Phone Cards, are especially appreciated, but all items are needed.
BAB also needs donations to purchase postage to ship packages. The next mailing will be mid-June.
"I felt that sending the packages was such a small thing to do to help the
troops, until I started getting cards and letters from them," said Phyllis Malona. "When I'm
here free and secure because of them, it really humbles me."
BAB members say, "The troops are sharing there items with others and please keep sending the
packages." "How can we stop till they are all home."
Behind America's Best group meets every Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Church at 7 p.m. Families and friends
of service personnel are urged to attend. If you cannot attend the meetings please call Phyllis Malona at 354-6108

Drop off points for items in Calhoun County are: J & B Drug Store; Calhoun County Library; Holberts Store; Parsons One
Stop; Calhoun Banks, Arnoldsburg; Senior Citizens, Grantsville and Minnora; Arnoldsburg & Pleasant Hill Elementary
Schools; Calhoun Middle/High School. Items may also be brought to Pleasant Hill Church or given to members. Postage will
be paid by donations given to support group members.
