| Roy D. (Buddy) Murphy, 62, of Chloe, died May 26, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Clay County, son of Mrs. Vera Burnside Murphy of Chloe and the late Edward
Murphy. He was an equipment operator in the pipeline construction industry.
Surviving, son, Patrick Murphy of Chloe; daughter, Diana Tanner of Arnoldsburg;
brothers, Tex and Burton Murphy of Chloe; sisters, Reva Johnson of Missouri, Cindy
Friend of Gassaway, Patricia James of Frametown and Gloria Murphy of Chloe; three
grandchildren, Justin Murphy, Joe and Bruce Tanner.
He was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Francis Sue Murphy and two brothers, Gene and Garrison Murphy.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Nebo Baptist Church, Nebo with
Rev. Dewey Tanner officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends
may call at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
