The parents of former POW Jessica Lynch say they are not focusing on details of their daughter's capture and rescue in
Iraq.
"We're not concerned about any of that. We're just focusing on Jessi's recovery and well being."
Lynch's mother said.
Media reports in foreign newspapers and some US outlets dispute the US governments account of the young soldiers ordeal
and rescue.
Some Iraqi hospital staffers have reportedly said that the "U.S. commandos who came to get Lynch refused a key and
instead broke down doors and went in with guns drawn. They said the commandos carried away the prisoner in the dead of
night with helicopter and armored vehicle backup - even though there was no Iraqi military presence and the hospital staff
didn't resist."
Greg Lynch says his daughter's memory is as good as ever, but says he can't discuss what she's told the family because it's
still an ongoing investigation. Government releases have said Jessica Lynch has amnesia and cannot remember what
happened to her.
The 20-year-old Army supply clerk was captured when her convoy was ambushed March 23rd, three days after the war
began.
She continues to be treated at a Washington, DC hospital.
Her parents have returned to Palestine. They held a press conference yesterday morning at their home to thank the
community for the renovations being made to the house. The structure is being made wheelchair accessible for Lynch, who
suffered multiple fractures during her ordeal.
