The Calhoun High School softball team wishes to express their thanks to everyone that helped make our season special. We
are especially thankful to all of the parents. They helped with field repairs, game preparation, travel after games and
practices, food items, keeping the score books, and their outstanding vocal support and presence at all of our games both
home and away.
Along with the great support at home , many times, when we traveled to our away games we had as many or more
supporters than the home team. Thank you parents and also to our volunteer student that kept our stat sheets!
We are grateful to all of the area businesses that provided help for the team this year. Thank you Furrs' Auto Sales. They
donated money to purchase and embroider team logo bags for the girls use. The following businesses made donations that
allowed the girls to take a trip to the regional softball playoffs at Nicholas County High School, Gino's, Foodland,
Family Dollar, Smith's Auto Parts, J & B Drugs, Calhoun Banks, State Farm Insurance, Grantsville Pro Hardware, Western
Auto and one anonymous donor.
The Calhoun County High School Athletic Boosters have helped the softball team immensely this school year. They have
provided money that will make repairs to the field and to provide for water drainage on the playing surface. They provided
the funds for the girls to eat a team meal at the end of the season. (mmmmmmm BBQ night at Shoneys) Most of all, they
purchased the flame uniforms that you see in the above picture. Thank you boosters! |
