| Calhoun County United Methodist Cooperative awarded High School Senior Heather Weaver, the daughter of Sandy and David Weaver, a $500 scholarship.
In addition, High School Seniors Kara Haymaker, daughter of Martha and Hays Haymaker and Josh Hickman, son of Terri and Tim Hickman, were both awarded a $300 scholarship.
This is the third year that the Calhoun United Methodist Cooperative has awarded such scholarships based on church and community involvement and expression of the applicant's faith.
Pastor Mary Zimmer, Coordinator for the Cooperative stated that these scholarships were made possible through the gifts from individuals and United Methodist Churches within Calhoun County.
The Cooperative is excited about this ministry that recognizes and supports our youth and their openness in being servants of Christ. |
