Kelly Renee Badgett

Miss Kelly Renee Badgett is the 17 year old daughter of Shirl and Kathy Badgett of Big Springs.
She is a member of the Calhoun High School Academic Team, Calhoun High School Choir, SCAT, National
Honor Society, Follies Girls Group and was chosen for Teen Institute.
Outside of School, Kelly is in 4-H, a Teen Leader in 4-H, and was a Page for the House of Delegates. She belongs to a
church youth group, and is a volunteer at the Calhoun Commission on Aging. Her hobbies include reading,
spending time with Family & friends, shopping and writing poetry. Kelly plans to attend West Virginia University and major
in Biometrics.

Miss Melissa Ann Hartshorn is the 17 year old daughter of Lisa Prunty of Grantsville and Jeff Hartshorn of Mt. Zion.
Melissa is in the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta - Math Honorary, Calhoun High School Varsity Volleyball Team,
and Basketball Team. She is a member of the Yearbook Committee, Prom Committee, a S.C.O.R.E.S. participant, and
was selected for Girls' State. Melissa was 1st Team Mid-Ohio Valley Big School All-Stars, 3rd Team LKC Basketball and
Special Honorable Mention LKC Basketball and Special Honorable Mention All-State volleyball.
Out of school Melissa participates in youth activities at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, is an "Energy Express"
volunteer, and lifeguard at the Grantsville Pool. Her hobbies include reading, swimming, playing the piano, volleyball and
shopping. Melissa plans to attend West Virginia University and major in Industrial Engineering. She then plans to proceed to
law school and specialize in Patent Law.
