YESTERDAY'S TOMORROW'S EXHIBIT CONTINUES - Schedule Through June, 2003

(05/13/2003)
The Smithsonian's Yesterday's Tomorrow's opened last week at Calhoun Middle/High School, an evening of "history about the future," according to Jeanne Hamming of WVU. The traveling exhibit will be in Calhoun through June 6.

The exhibition is an historical overview of what Americans thought the future would look like, beginning in 1900 and continuing through the late 20th century. "Come see for yourself how accurate those predictions were," suggested Dr. Tony Russell.

See Hur Herald article May, 9.

The exhibit will be open before and after various events during the next few weeks, or can be viewed with permission during the day from the school office, or arrangements can be made for group visits.

The exhibit is presented in Calhoun County through collaboration by The Smithsonian Institution, The West Virginia Humanities Council, The Calhoun County Historical Society, and Lights On! (a 21st Century Learning Grant).

Please note that the companion exhibit mounted by the Calhoun County Historical Society is located in Room A-101.
