Lova A. Slider, 92, of Millstone, West Virginia, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at Minnie
Hamilton Health Care Center, Grantsville, WV.
She was a daughter of the late Marshall J. and Margaret Blake Starcher. She was a Methodist
by faith.
She is survived by a son, Lufawn Slider of Charleston, WV; a daughter, Gloria Shock of
Millstone; sister, Elah Whisman of Mt. Zion, WV; 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and
one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T. Helma Slider, a son, Lye A. Slider, two
daughters, Loa Mae and Sharon Deora Slider, five brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services will be held at Slider Cemetery on Barne's Run Road, immediately
following the one hour visitation on Saturday, May 10 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home,
Grantsville, WV. Rev. Rick Swearingen will officiate. Interment will be in Slider Cemetery.
