Members of the Wayne Underwood Recreation Committee are being asked to appear
before the Calhoun Commission Monday evening at 5:00 p.m. to discuss issues
regarding the management of the field, according to Chairman Jason Nettles.
The Commission has received only two resignations from the eleven-person
committee. Most members of the committee have expressed continued interest in
the project.
The Commission will be working to assist the volunteers for their continued
participation in keeping the field open for public recreation purposes.
County Commissioner Larry Mccallister said "We want to work on a solution."
Commissioner Rick Sampson has said he wants to make sure the facility is used for
multiple purposes for all the citizens of the county.
