William Everett Jarvis, 91, of Uniontown, Ohio, formerly of Calhoun, died
April 28, 2003 in Ravenna, Ohio.
Born in Calhoun County, he was the son of the late Robert and Delilah
Metheney Jarvis. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and was a former
saw mill operator. He was a member of the Linden Masonic Lodge.
Surviving, sons, Everett Eugene Jarvis and his wife Marilyn of
Winston-Salem and Jimmie Jarvis and his wife Gail of Windham, Ohio;
daughters, Barbara Parsons and her husband Robert of Uniontown, Ohio,
Donna Jean Aaroe of Evans and Carolyn Newell of Brimfield, Ohio; sister,
Laverne Harper of Looneyville; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren
and two great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellafae Jarvis; brothers, Leo and
Walter Jarvis; sisters, Maxie Ponn, Mary May, Ruth Vida and Goldie
Edwards.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home in
Arnoldsburg with the Rev. Rich Metheney officiating. Interment will be in
the Josiah Jarvis Cemetery at Oka.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Spencer American Legion
Post. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Linden Lodge.
