April 27 - May 3, 2003 is National Volunteer week. Across our nation, tens of millions of volunteers share their time and
care, to
help build stronger communities. By mentoring students, visiting patients, caring for the elderly, and in countless other ways,
they
bring to life the spirit of giving.
These caring people deserve recognition for the priceless contributions they make, and National Volunteer Week provides a
great
opportunity for you to honor them. Ever since President Richard Nixon proclaimed the first National Volunteer Week in
1974, it's
been celebrated annually as a way to acknowledge the service of our generous volunteers. During this week, take the time to
show
appreciation to our community volunteers!
