Two people were taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center last night following a
two-car collision on Rt. 5, Big Bend at Holbert's Store. Sources at the scene
indicated they were not seriously injured, the air-bags expelling in their vehicle.
The 8:15 p.m. accident happened after one vehicle was attempting to turn into
Holbert's parking lot. A driver and several passengers in that vehicle did not appear
to be in injured.
Calhoun EMS responded to the accident with the Grantsville VFD. Sheriff Allen
Parsons was investigating.
Another man was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center in a separate
accident about 3:30 p.m. Saturday. His vehicle bounced off a utility pole on Phillip's
Run. The same pole was downed a few days ago, injuring Mt. Zion resident Hubert
Kerby. Kerby is recovering from a fractured leg.
