2024: CALHOUN HAS MASS SHOOTING ON PINE CREEK - Four Shot, Two Dead, PA Man Tribioli Charged

A Columbia PA man, Noah Richard Tribioli, came to his recently re-located family members farm in Calhoun WV and on December 28, 2024, about 8:30 a.m. shot four individuals at the Pine Creek Road location between Mt. Zion and Hur.

Two died quickly, Jodee Triboli, 51, and Carole Heagy, 71, also five times and in critical condition was Steve Tribioli, 55. He is expected to recover and Claude Heagy, 66, the latter taken to a medical center with minor gunshot wounds.

The PA residents had purchased the property from long time Calhoun residents Rick Nicholas a short time ago.

The shooter fled the scene and was apprehended in Fayette County.

The WV State Police and the Calhoun Sheriff responded to the scene.

Police have yet to release a motive.

Historically, it is among very few mass shootings in Calhoun.

Sources close to the family said the shooter was suffering from schizophrenia, a conflict rising over the shooter's cat.

Shooter Tibioli has been charged with two counts of first degree murder, two counts of attempted first degree murder, among numerous other charges. He is being held in Central Regional Jail.
