| 2024 - Franklin D. Sampson, 62, of Cambridge OH, died July 19, 2024 at the Beckett House. He was the son of Judith Weaver Sampson of Cambridge and the late Billy Franklin Sampson, his mother a well known genealogist and historian.
Franklin was a graduate of Cambridge High School, worked in regional factories and the Army Corps of Engineers in Mississippi, and later as a court abstractor, a former member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
He enjoyed studying genealogy and ancestry, an avid Elvis fan and enjoyed hunting. fishing, trapping and traveling.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Tina Sampson Campbell, Cheryl Sampson McGuire, Ronald and Lyle Sampson, and his friend and travel companion Mark Taylor.
Burial will be in the Orma Cemetery on September 22, 2024 in the afternoon with the Rev. David Weaver officiating. |
