Abandoned town of Wilsie WV, stores and post office, the
D. O. Moyers Store, long closed, waiting for remodeling
By Bob Weaver
Wilsie is a Braxton County ghost town on County Route 9 between Stumptown and Frametown, close to Rosedale. It once had a group of buildings and houses, including the D. O. Moyers Store and a post office. The post office closed in 2005.
Wilsie was a thriving rural village and meeting place, now joining hundreds of WV towns and villages which have faded from glory.
