It was a flashback of memories this past weekend at the Tom and Dawn Fox woodsy home place down on Sycamore, originally called the "Fox Fest," a gathering of family and friends from across the years.
Besides the friendliness of the gathering, the highlight was the stirring real apple butter and tables of melt in your mouth barbecued food and all the dressings.

Tom, a retired DNR officer and Dawn, a retired nurse, have spent years in movements to protect wild birds, traveling all over the world. Perhaps their best achievement, their three sons who have gone into the world with marked accomplishments.

In the early days, Fox's parents, remarkable people, always attended the event, both are now deceased.
Tom, as usual, encouraged attendees to take a hike back on the mountain behind his house.
Life was good this last weekend.
