| BAM! YOU'RE PARKED IN MY SPOT - A woman has been charged after allegedly firing multiple shots at a vehicle in Randolph County for âbeing in her parking spot.â
On Oct. 22, deputies with the Randolph County Sheriffâs Department received a call of shots fired at a residence on Hemlock Drive in Beverly, according to a criminal complaint.
When deputies arrived, they saw a man entering the residence âand grabbing a white female,â identified as Theresa McCauley, 52, of Beverly. He then attempted to throw her into the parking lot, deputies said.
Deputies told the man to let go of her, and the male told deputies that McCauley âshot at my kid.â When deputies asked McCauley if âshe shot at the occupants of the blue truck,â she said that she âshot at their tires,â according to the complaint.
When McCauley was asked why she shot at the vehicle, she stated that âthey were aggravating her,â and that âshe could explain in more detail,â deputies said.
After securing McCauley, deputies spoke with the male victim who said that he was dropping someone off at the residence on Hemlock Drive when McCauley âexited the apartment with a pistol,â before she approached the front of the truck âand shot at the truck,â according to the complaint.
After that, McCauley âcame to the driverâs window and shot again at the rear tire areaâ before âwaving the gun through the window,â and threatening to kill an individual in the vehicle, deputies said.
A witness stated that McCauley âstarted cussing about being in her parking spot,â according to the complaint.
When deputies entered the residence, they found a Taurus PT22 semi-automatic pistol âlaying on a stand by the front doorâ which contained no ammo; deputies were able to located a .22 caliber shell casing in the parking lot in front of the truck and a second shell casing on the windshield of an uninvolved vehicle, deputies said.
Deputies were also able to locate âwhat appears to be a gunshot hole in the vinyl siding near a front window of the home,â according to the complaint.
McCauley has been charged with wanton endangerment. She is being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail on $30,000 bond.
HUNTINGTON MURDER - Huntington Police were investigating a shots fired call that came in around 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
According to Capt. Larry Zimmerman, when police arrived on the scene at the intersection of 5th Avenue and 30th Street, they discovered one person was dead.
Multiple people have been taken in for questioning.
ROAD RAGE GUNS - A man has been charged after allegedly firing a gun at another individual for cutting him off in traffic in White Hall.
On Oct. 23, deputies with the Marion County Sheriffâs Department were dispatched in reference to a road rage incident taking place at Walmart in White Hall which resulted in shots being fired, according to a criminal complaint.
When deputies arrived, they approached the suspect vehicle and gave verbal commands for Gary Macaulay, 45, of Fairmont, to exit, to which he complied, deputies said.
After deputies placed Macaulay into custody, they performed a search of his vehicle, and deputies found a black Ruger 9mm handgun inside of âa second amendmentâ holster; the firearm had one unspent round in the chamber and 14 unspent rounds in the magazine, according to the complaint.
When deputies spoke with the victim, he said that he was traveling on W.Va. Rt. 250 where road work was going on and âthe vehicle behind him would not allow him to get over from the closed lane,â deputies said.
The victim then told deputies that âhe cut the driver off due to running out of road,â and that when he went under the underpass he âheard a gunshot and ducked in his vehicle,â according to the complaint.
When deputies investigated the area of the reported gunshot, they found a spent shell casing lying in the roadway, deputies said.
Macaulay has been charged with wanton endangerment. He is being held in North Central Regional Jail on $10,000 bond.
